The first picture is a raw image I got from Nasa Archives. The second image is the result of my attempts at image enhancement. Some surprising results

This is obviously a humanoid female. Note the high cheekbones and slightly crossed eyes.

This bird (possibly an eagle) was produced by using simple gamma enhancement and embossing done with a simple windows photo editing software package.

This shot of a lobster (crayfish?, scorpion?) took a little line drawing, but the outline is obvious to me, a novice.

Below is my first attempt at image enhancement. I noticed a relationship between the two depressions which you can see marked with the black lines. I then remove some noise then embossed the image. Simple but dramatic. I was somewhat disappointed, instead of a human face, I got what look like paw prints.
